Much is made of teamwork and management; many job descriptions will include elements of teamwork and, after all, “there’s no I in team”. Each team is made up of a number of individuals and, whilst the team is aiming to achieve more than the sum of the individuals, each person has to do “their bit”.
We learn individually, we perform our roles individually, we succeed (or fail) individually, we have individual job roles and responsibilities and rewards … albeit often as part of a team.
In order to be the best colleague / manager / business / customer / supplier / associate, you need to be the best INDIVIDUAL you can be, first.
